SURF DIARY: SAN DIEGO

February 15, 2017

Every now and again we visit somewhere that instantly feels like home and San Diego was one of those places. The people are nice, the beaches are clean and the sun shines all year round …..which means pretty much HEAVEN for two Australian’s who have been cooped up in New York.

At the end of last summer, we decided to spend a couple of weeks hanging out in Encinitas, a little coastal spot about half way between Downtown San Diego and LA. This place is the ultimate chill zone with everything you need from good coffee, great surf and incredible sunsets. TAKE US BACK!

STAY – Hotels are scarce so go for AirBnB’s – anywhere from Solana to Carlsbad is great location but a car is a must!

SURF – Pipes at San Elijo State Beach, Cardiff State beach or La Jolla

EAT – East Village or URBN Encinitas

COFFEE – Better Buzz or Sleeping Tiger Roasters

SHOP – Bing Surfboards or Mitch’s Surfshop
