Here at TWP, we believe travelling is better in twos! And while most of our trips are together, there are times we go rogue and have to go solo. Tulum was one of those times.
After finishing a shoot in Playa Del Carmen (more on that coming soon), I had one final night to explore Tulum. Having been before in 2012, the first thing I noticed was that Tulum is not the small village it once was. Tulum has a whole new vibe. The quiet bohemian pocket has transformed into a buzzing hipster mecca. Not that I minded, much of the chilled-out charm remains just with better food, more boutiques and a few more people on the beach.
Sanara is front and centre of Tulum’s new tide. Opening it’s doors at the end of 2014, this chic beachfront compound is the perfect example of laidback luxury. With a rooftop relaxation zone and a yoga studio that hovers over the sand, this place was a dream. Solo or not one night was not long enough!
