Bora Bora Paradise Found
Bora Bora is the kind of tropical paradise you dream about! It really is as spectacularly photogenic as you might have imagined.
It has been on our hit list for a long time and in June this year we finally got to visit the very luxurious Four Seasons Bora Bora. As two Australians with unusually high beach expectations, this little emerald archipelago exceeded them all. Contrary to what you might think, you can be surprisingly busy in paradise! As you’ll see in these pics, we swam with sharks, fed stingrays, snorkelled, kayaked, swam ten times a day and had lunch on a private island. French Polynesia is definitely an expensive destination all round but it’s tropical beauty and exotic landscape really is on another level! PARADISE FOUND
For surfers reading our site, we did have our boards in Tahiti but we weren’t able to bring them with us to Bora Bora. The larger airline Air Tahiti Nui accepts boards but Air Tahiti does not. Apparently there are waves off Bora Bora and other nearby islands but would have to do a sailing trip or come by boat from Papeete to access them. We didn’t see anywhere you could potentially rent boards in Bora Bora or Tahiti for that matter. French Polynesia definite somewhere where you need your own.
